Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Use a week strip to find yesterday, today and tomorrow, and pick the words for past, now and later.

About 4 to 9 · Yesterday, today and tomorrow, and past, present and future words.

Pick a level

Change it any time. Every level is a good level.

Pick what to play

Answer your way. Tap it, point to it, say it, sign it, or show a card or device. Every way counts the same.

For grown-ups

Away from the screen: At bedtime, say one thing from today and one thing for tomorrow.

Easy
Yesterday, today and tomorrow on a strip.
Medium
Last and next weekdays, and words like went, ate and did.
Hard
The day before yesterday and the day after tomorrow.
  • Start on Easy, even if it looks too simple. Success first, then move up when your child wants to.
  • Use real things alongside the screen: cups for sizes, coins for money, a calendar on the fridge.
  • Wait a little longer than feels natural. Quiet thinking time is part of it.
  • If they pick something you did not expect, ask them to tell you about it. Their reason is often interesting.
  • Pointing, signing, a device or a picture card are all real answers. Speaking is not the goal here.
  • Stop when it stops being fun. A few minutes, often, beats a long sitting.
  • These are games, not assessments. If you have concerns, talk to a teacher or speech pathologist.
